Guest Speaker: Mireia Lizandra, an international sports lawyer who has worked with Olympic governing bodies and Olympic bid cities, will speak about the Olympic games, the governance of Olympic and other sports, and how cities prepare to bid for hosting the games. Ms. Lizandra has worked on the preparation team of the 1996 Atlanta Games and, more recently, on Madrid’s attempt to host the 2020 Games. Ms. Lizandra has lectured at the Wharton School and at St. John’s University Law School on international sports law and business. This event is open to all students, faculty, and administrators in the Gabelli School.
