Please join us for an evening of networking and celebration with alumni and current students from Fordham’s Smart Woman Securities (SWS) and Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF). This event will feature remarks from current student leadership, fireside chats with distinguished alumni, and opportunities to connect with members across both organizations while celebrating their continued growth and success.

The SMIF and SWS 2nd Annual Alumni Reception brings together past and present members to celebrate the continued development and impact of Fordham’s student-managed investment organizations. Both groups provide students with hands-on experience managing real capital, conducting fundamental research, and making portfolio decisions in a collaborative, professional environment. Through their work, members develop the technical skills, discipline, and judgment required for careers in investment management and financial services.

SMIF has served as a steward for a portion of Fordham’s endowment capital for more than a decade, growing the portfolio to more than $2.5 million, while navigating changing market conditions and identifying long-term investment opportunities. The SWS Fund, launched in 2025, has started to deploy capital, empowering members through investment education, mentorship, and direct portfolio management experience.

This event provides an opportunity for alumni to reconnect, share career insights, and engage with current members as they continue building on the strong foundation built by recent alumni.
