Fordham Women in Business Conference: The Power of Connections

March 3 @ 1:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Event Navigation

An afternoon designed for students, professionals, and industry leaders who believe careers are built through people, not just resumes.

This year’s theme, The Power of Connections, dives into how
authentic relationships, meaningful conversations, and diverse networks open doors and create real opportunity.

If you can’t join us for the afternoon programming, we would still love to see you at the evening reception from 5:30-7:00pm!

What’s on the agenda?

Opening Remarks: 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm
FWIB Founder Sandy Pather sets the stage for the afternoon.

Pulling Off a Career Pivot: 2:15 pm – 3:00 pm
A candid panel with leaders who’ve navigated bold and meaningful career transitions.

Being Comfortable in the Uncomfortable: 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm
An interactive workshop led by keynote speaker and bestselling author Mara Dorne—expect insight, reflection, and a few growth-stretch moments.

Spotlight on Female Entrepreneurs: 4:15 pm – 5:00 pm
A panel featuring women who have built and scaled their own ventures from the ground up.

Close the day with connection: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

We’ll wrap up with a reception at Platt Court—complete with drinks, light bites, raffles, and plenty of time to reconnect and meet new people.

Because the best conversations often happen after the panels.
