Presented by the Graduate School of Social Service, the Fordham Institute for Women and Girls and IHAN (International Health Awareness Network) are co-sponsoring a conference celebrating four major UN anniversaries: “The UN Matters”.
Specifically, the 4 anniversaries that occur this year are:
Global Compacts on Migration and Refugees (1 year)
Security Council Resolution 1325 (20 years)
Beijing Conference – Women Rights (23 years)
Convention of the Rights of the Child (30 years)
Presentations will focus on what has been achieved and what still needs to be accomplished, particularly in Sustainable Development Goals.
REQUEST FOR PAPER:
Fordham students are invited to submit papers discussing why they think the UN Matters. They should be focused on one of the categories and 3-4 pages in length. The best papers will be presented.

Deadline to submit paper: November 11, 2019 by 5 p.m.
