ABOUT CHARLES SCHREGER:
Charles Schreger is the former president of HBO Enterprises, where from 1990 – 2019 he was responsible for the domestic and international distribution of original programming produced by HBO and was a member of the senior management team. He also served as Executive Vice President and special assistant to the CEO.
Before joining HBO, Schreger served in a number of executive positions in the film and television industries. With Columbia Pictures, he was the Senior Vice President of film acquisitions and also president and founder of Triumph Films, a joint venture between Columbia Pictures and Gaumont. Triumph distributed foreign language and American independent films in the United States.
Before segueing into the entertainment industry, Schreger was a reporter for the Chicago and Los Angeles bureaus of Variety and a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times.
Schreger holds a BA degree from Brandeis University and an MS degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. He has taught journalism at USC and is an adjunct professor at NYU Stern and a visiting professor at the American University in Dubai.
