Marcia Page, the Executive Chair of Värde Partners, will be giving a talk on her career, the firm she co-founded and the outlook for investing on November 11th at Flom Auditorium of Walsh Library at 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Varde Partners is a global alternative investment management firm with $14.5 billion in assets under management. Marcia co-founded the firm in 1993. She chairs the Partner Committee and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Since Värde’s founding, Marcia has overseen every aspect of Värde’s growth, ranging from the development of the original investment thesis, to raising of each fund, the crafting of the firm’s investor communications, and the development of the firm’s infrastructure. Marcia transitioned from Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer to Executive Chair in 2016. After transitioning into the Executive Chair role, Marcia has become a vocal advocate for increasing the presence and voice of women in the financial services industry. The lecture is being co-sponsored by SWS and AIC.
Marcia wrote an article about gender diversity in the workforce for the World Economic Forum.
