Fordham graduate Lowney to lecture on leadership on March 3

A Fordham University graduate and recognized expert on leadership will be giving a lecture on the topic on March 3 at the Lincoln Center campus.

Chris Lowney, who holds both B.A. and M.A. degrees from Fordham, chairs the board of Catholic Health Initiatives and is the author of four books on leadership, the latest of which is Pope Francis: Why He Leads the Way He Leads.

The lecture, held in the third floor lounge of the Lowenstein Building and organized by the Gabelli School of Business, runs from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Lowney served as a managing director of J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York, Tokyo, Singapore and London before leaving the firm in 2001. Catholic Health Initiatives is one of the nation’s largest health care systems, with assets of approximately $19 billion.

Once a Jesuit seminarian, Lowney also has served various charities that provide health care and educational opportunities in the developing world.
