Undergraduate students from seven different universities and colleges, including Fordham, will gather in the Bronx next week to present original research as part of the Gabelli Undergraduate Business Research Conference.
Among the presenters at the April 13 conference will be six Fordham students whose papers were accepted for the National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Asheville, N.C. Five of the six students recently attended that event, presenting papers on business topics as varied as Addressing Peru’s Child Labor Problem and Privatization of Eminent Domain: The Misconstruing of Eminent Domain’s Ethical Underpinnings.
The April 13 conference will be held in Hughes Hall, from 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
The Fordham conference will feature student-generated research from accounting and taxation, corporate governance, ethics and equality, finance, general business, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, information systems, international economics, marketing and media, and sustainability, said Brian Dunn, assistant dean of honors opportunities and dual degree programs for the Gabelli School of Business.
The abstracts of all the papers being presented can be viewed here.
The Fordham event is free to attend, but students are asked to register in advance.
