Success story: Goldman Sachs IB hires Steven Cirincione

Steven Cirincione (GSB ’12) has learned where he is headed after graduation: to the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, based in New York. This Fordham finance major has nabbed one of the analyst slots that business students across the country have their eyes on. Congratulations, Steve!

Steve’s path to Goldman began with an extensive string of internships, beginning in his sophomore year. He was an intern first at UBS Wealth Management, and later took an internship at the investment bank Berkery Noyes, where he worked with the deal team on middle-market sell-side mergers and acquisitions. An internship at Goldman Sachs came next: Steve was a summer analyst in 2011. When he starts at the firm full-time, his team will handle clients in the consumer retail and healthcare industries as they access the investment-grade debt capital markets.

A highly involved student — he was student president of GSB on Fordham’s student government during his freshman and sophomore years, and he has raised money for the New York Special Olympics for four years as co-chair of Fordham’s Polar Plunge Team — Steve cited his Investments and Securities Analysis class at Gabelli as great preparation for the technical aspects of analyzing stocks and bonds.

We have no doubt that Steve is ready for the work that lies ahead of him at Goldman, and we wish him the best of luck!
