Gabelli Going Places: celebrating graduate success

Photographs | Feb 08, 2017 |

Outside, there was a chill in the air, but inside, the party was just warming up.

Last week, students, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate the successes of the graduate school, including 24 student competition teams and impressive national rankings.

Music by DJ Christian Voldstad, MBA ’17, set the tone as guests spent the evening talking with classmates, testing out the photo booth, trying their luck at raffles, and toasting each other’s outstanding accomplishments.

“It might seem odd to be having a celebration at the beginning of the semester,” Dean Donna Rapaccioli said, “but the truth is we could wait no longer…A big part of Jesuit education is stopping to reflect and to think through ‘what just happened, and what does that mean for my future?’

If the graduate school’s accomplishments are any indication, the future looks bright.
