March 27 Gabelli School Speaker Series: Behind the scenes of Netflix

When you browse the seemingly endless options of television series and movies on Netflix, it’s likely you aren’t thinking about the server capacity required to stream the first season of Stranger Things. 

But someone is.

At this month’s Gabelli School Speaker Series lecture, Dave Temkin, vice president of network strategy and architecture at Netflix, will join students to discuss what goes on behind the scenes of binge watching.

Moderated by Juvoni Beckford, BS ’13, the conversation will focus on Temkin’s role within Netflix and the future of video streaming.
